The Strokes Unveil 'Falling Out of Love' as Second Single From 'Reality Awaits'

The Strokes have dropped their latest single, marking another milestone in the band's return to new material. Following the May release of lead single "Going Shopping," the Julian Casablancas-led group has unveiled "Falling Out of Love" from their forthcoming album Reality Awaits.

The track is already gaining traction with listeners, currently sitting at the top of the Genius charts as fans seek out the lyrics to the new release.

The band will take the stage at The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Thursday, May 14, to debut the song in a live television setting. This marks an exciting moment for fans eager to hear the group perform fresh material.

Interestingly, The Strokes previously previewed an early rendition of the song back in 2021 during a virtual fundraiser benefiting Maya Wiley's New York City mayoral campaign, giving longtime followers a taste of what was to come.

Reality Awaits, the band's first studio album in six years, was helmed by renowned producer Rick Rubin. The record will hit shelves on June 26. Notably, the album incorporates Auto-Tune vocal effects—a production choice that has sparked discussion among the fanbase about the band's sonic direction.
