Felicity Jones Set to Portray Agatha Christie in Noir Thriller Exploring Her Historic Disappearance

Felicity Jones is taking on the role of Agatha Christie in an upcoming noir thriller that examines one of literature's most intriguing real-life mysteries.

The 42-year-old two-time Oscar nominee has joined the cast of Eleven Missing Days, which explores the enigmatic circumstances surrounding Christie's vanishing in December 1926. Vincent Cassel, the César-winning actor recognized for his work in La Haine and Black Swan, rounds out the lead roles as a police detective drawn into the case.

The film draws directly from historical events. At the peak of her literary career, Christie disappeared from her home under puzzling circumstances, becoming the subject of intense media scrutiny. The noir thriller frames the investigation as a real-world whodunnit that mirrors the very mysteries Christie herself crafted—with everyone in the author's orbit becoming a potential suspect in the case.

Fortitude International will present the project to buyers during the upcoming Cannes market.

Jones maintained an active schedule throughout 2025, appearing in the Academy Award-nominated Train Dreams alongside Joel Edgerton, as well as Oh. What. Fun. and 100 Nights of Hero. Cassel is simultaneously engaged in the fourth season of HBO's The White Lotus, where he portrays the detective character. Production on that series is already underway in France, adding an unexpected Cannes connection to his current slate of work.
