Glenn Close Immortalizes Her Dog's Paw Print at Hollywood Ceremony

Glenn Close ensured her canine companion had a place in Hollywood history during her Hand and Footprint Ceremony on Friday morning at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles.
The 79-year-old actress received the honor from TCM, with her family and a host of celebrity friends on hand to celebrate the milestone. Close's daughter Annie Starke and grandson Rory attended the May 1 event, alongside guests including Mila Kunis, Melissa McCarthy, Ben Falcone, and Zelda Williams.
The ceremony coincided with TCM's presentation of Close's acclaimed 1988 film Dangerous Liaisons, a role that brought her one of her eight Oscar nominations throughout her career.
TCM Primetime host Ben Mankiewicz offered remarks about Close's legacy, reflecting on her impact as a performer. "To this day, I can remember the first time I saw Glenn Close on the big screen," Mankiewicz said. "Though her film debut came a year earlier in The World According to Garp (earning an Oscar nomination), I'll never forget seeing her in The Big Chill, delivering a memorably layered performance that revealed the extraordinary talent, intelligence and emotional depth that have defined her career ever since. More than four decades later, she continues to captivate audiences — from her earliest roles to powerful later performances like the one in The Wife — and we are proud to honor her enduring legacy at this year's festival."
