Josh O'Connor is making his way back to the stage this autumn. The 36-year-old actor will headline a London production of Clifford Odets' classic play Golden Boy, with a trailer and complete cast list now unveiled.

The production follows Joe Bonaparte, a talented young violinist living in 1930s New York during the Great Depression. Tempted by the promise of wealth and fame, Joe abandons his musical aspirations to pursue professional boxing. Caught between the demands of an aggressive manager, the allure of a forbidden romance, and his Italian-American family's expectations, Joe grapples with fundamental questions about ambition, identity, and the true cost of success. The character must ultimately decide what sacrifices he's willing to make and what kind of person he wants to become.

The revival features an ensemble that includes Jason Barnett, Richard Fleeshman, David Ganly, Patrick Martins, Daniel Mays, Oliver Ryan, Hayley Squires, Stanley Townsend, Zubin Varla, and Nicholas Woodeson. Sam Yates directs the production.

Preview performances begin on Wednesday, September 9th, with the official premiere scheduled for Tuesday, September 15th. The limited engagement runs through Saturday, October 31st.
