Meryl Streep playfully brought up an old grievance from the set of 1992's Death Becomes Her, claiming she and Goldie Hawn had some "beef" over their different approaches to call times.

During a recent Vanity Fair interview, Streep recalled that Hawn had a habit of arriving late. "Goldie, she was always late to set. And I'm always on time, you know, and annoying," Streep explained. "She had her hair all … 'Oh gosh, sorry!' And everybody thought, 'Oh, she's so cute.' Yeah. So I had a beef with her," she added with a laugh.

Now Hawn has weighed in on the lighthearted accusation. Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, she acknowledged her reputation for running behind schedule. "I think I'm 15 minutes late to everything. … I mean, honestly, it's unbelievable," Hawn said.

The actress was quick to clarify that there's no actual tension between the two. "There's absolutely no drama, and we have been such great friends for so long," she emphasized. "But it is our joke. She said I was too late on the set. Maybe she's too early. I don't know. Sometimes when you're too early, you're still waiting for somebody and you think, 'Oh, god, where the hell is she?'"

Hawn and Streep starred alongside Bruce Willis in Death Becomes Her, a dark comedy about two rivals who drink a mysterious potion promising eternal youth, only to discover that immortality comes with its own complicated set of consequences. The film has since been adapted into a Broadway production currently playing in New York City.
