Avatar: The Last Airbender Cast Gathers for Season 2 Premiere in Los Angeles

The cast of Netflix's live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender came together to celebrate the arrival of season two at a premiere event held Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Gordon Cormier, Kiawentiio, Ian Ousley, and Miyako (formerly known as Miya Cech) were among the principal players who turned out at the Autry Museum of the American West in Griffith Park on June 23 for the occasion.

The gathering drew a substantial portion of the show's ensemble, including returning cast members Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, Thalia Tran, Daniel Dae Kim, Elizabeth Yu, Momona Tamada, Dallas Liu, Yvonne Chapman, and Sebastian Amoruso. Joining them were newly cast members Justin Chien, Kelemete Misipeka, Amanda Zhou, Rekha Sharma, and Lily Gao.

The second season picks up following Aang's triumph in defending the Northern Water Tribe against Fire Nation forces. Aang, Katara, and Sokka embark on a mission to recruit the Earth King to their cause in the struggle against Fire Lord Ozai. Their path to the fortified city of Ba Sing Se proves challenging yet rewarding, leading Aang to discover Toph, a skilled earthbender who becomes instrumental in expanding his bending abilities. Meanwhile, Prince Zuko remains determined to capture the Avatar despite his complicated position as a fugitive from the Fire Nation, wrestling with mounting doubts about his allegiances. The situation intensifies with the arrival of Princess Azula, Zuko's formidable sister, as hidden threats emerge within Ba Sing Se's walls.

Avatar: The Last Airbender season two becomes available on Netflix on Thursday, June 25.
