Grown Ups 3 Coming to Netflix With Adam Sandler Set to Return

The Grown Ups franchise is making its comeback at Netflix, with the streaming giant officially greenlighting a third installment of the beloved comedy series.

Adam Sandler is locked in to star in the new film and will also co-write the screenplay. Director Kyle Newacheck, who helmed Happy Gilmore 2 and Murder Mystery, will take the helm for this latest chapter.

While casting details beyond Sandler have yet to be officially announced, industry reports suggest that Kevin James, Chris Rock, David Spade, and Rob Schneider—the core ensemble from the first two films—are expected to reunite for the project.

The original Grown Ups arrived in 2010, telling the story of a tight-knit group of longtime friends who gather for a Fourth of July weekend at a lake house three decades after graduating high school, prompted by the death of their former basketball coach. That film became a major commercial success, earning $272 million worldwide at the box office. The 2013 sequel, Grown Ups 2, followed suit with $247 million globally, though both installments faced harsh critical reception, scoring 10% and 8% on Rotten Tomatoes respectively.

Despite their poor reviews, the films have maintained strong appeal with audiences and regularly appear on cable television. Currently, both movies are available to stream on Starz.
