Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs Bring Playful Energy to American Music Awards Red Carpet

The Hacks cast members turned heads at the 2026 American Music Awards on Monday evening in Las Vegas. Meg Stalter and Paul W. Downs stepped onto the red carpet at the MGM Grand Garden Arena dressed in eye-catching coordinated looks that sparked conversation.
Stalter wore an extended black wig, thin eyebrows, and striking blue eyeshadow, while both performers sported matching belt buckles displaying each other's faces. When asked about their bold styling choices, the duo was quick with a humorous rebuttal.
"Cosplay? I'm finally allowed to be myself," Paul remarked to Variety. "I came to Vegas with just Meg and no one else? Yeah, I get to be myself. TSA almost threw us right out the plane. Southwest style."
Meg chimed in with her own quip: "This is our every day looks, who are we cosplaying as? Two hot models? Who do music?"
The pair showed off genuine camaraderie throughout their red carpet appearance, with Paul even helping style Stalter's hair for photos. The two are scheduled to present together during tonight's ceremony.
The timing of their appearance comes just days ahead of the Hacks series finale, which will air on HBO Max. The American Music Awards will air tonight at 8/7c on CBS, hosted by Queen Latifah in her first hosting role for the show in more than 30 years. Taylor Swift leads the nominations with eight nods, while the evening will feature performances and appearances from numerous music industry figures.
