The Harry Potter television adaptation at HBO Max has received an early renewal for season two.

Season one, titled "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," is slated to arrive during the Christmas 2026 holiday window. The sophomore installment, which will adapt the second book in J.K. Rowling's iconic series, "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," is expected to commence filming in the fall.

The television series aims to faithfully bring Rowling's wizarding world to life with meticulous attention to detail, introducing the beloved characters and magical settings that have captivated audiences for over two decades. Each season will expand across the expansive wizarding universe, offering both longtime devotees and newcomers a chance to experience Harry Potter's extraordinary journey. The show will premiere exclusively on Max, with global distribution.

Rowling serves as an executive producer on the project alongside the creative team.
