Haylie Duff Splits From Matt Rosenberg After 12 Years of Engagement

Haylie Duff has confirmed the end of her long-term relationship with Matt Rosenberg.

The 41-year-old actress and sister of Hilary Duff released a statement via her representative requesting privacy during this time, citing the need to protect her young daughters.

The couple had maintained an engagement for 12 years without ever tying the knot. Duff and Rosenberg began dating in 2012 and got engaged in April 2014. They went on to have two children together: daughter Ryan Ava, born in 2015, and daughter Lulu Gray, who arrived in 2018.

In a 2021 interview with Access Hollywood, Duff opened up about why marriage never materialized despite their long engagement. "We didn't plan to not get married, we just have been busy having kids and filming shows and him working," she explained. "Life kind of got away from us, to be perfectly honest."

She also shared a sweet anecdote about her eldest daughter's perspective on the situation. "Now anytime I get dressed up in something nice, [daughter] Ryan is like, 'Mommy, that's so beautiful, are you gonna wear that to your wedding?'" Duff recalled.

The actress added that they had initially envisioned getting married once they completed their family. "We also kind of thought as soon as we were done having kids, we would do it, but here we are," she said at the time.
