Hazbin Hotel Concludes With Renewal of Fifth and Final Season on Prime Video
The curtain is closing on Hazbin Hotel. Prime Video has officially renewed the adult-animated musical comedy for a fifth season that will serve as its conclusion.
The announcement dropped on Saturday, April 25, during the series' panel presentation at LVL UP Expo. Created by Vivienne Medrano, the show has captivated audiences with its darkly comedic take on redemption and Hell's hierarchies.
The series centers on Charlie, Hell's princess, as she works toward an ambitious goal: rehabilitating demons to ease the kingdom's overpopulation crisis. Following an annual extermination orchestrated by angels, Charlie establishes a hotel where she hopes residents will graduate to Heaven. Though much of Hell dismisses her mission, her partner Vaggie and Angel Dust—an adult-film star serving as her first rehabilitation candidate—remain loyal supporters. When the enigmatic "Radio Demon" offers his assistance, Charlie's seemingly impossible dream gains tangible momentum.
Medrano's creation evolved from a popular animated pilot she released on YouTube in 2019, which accumulated more than 120 million views and cultivated a devoted international following. Medrano continues as executive producer and has directed every episode of the series.
"I'm so thankful for how Prime Video has championed our vision at SpindleHorse, and I'm grateful for their partnership and commitment to bringing Hazbin Hotel to its epic conclusion," Medrano said via Deadline. "I'm so excited for fans to see how this story ends."
The streaming platform has yet to announce a premiere date for the fifth and final season.
