HBO Max Showcases 2026 Slate with First Look at 'Harry Potter' Series, 'Lanterns,' and More

HBO Max rolled out a fresh promotional teaser on Sunday, May 24, giving viewers an early peek at what's headed to the platform throughout 2026. The spot highlights an extensive array of new series, returning shows, and franchise content slated to arrive over the coming months.

The streaming giant described the promotional campaign as one that "showcases the breadth of content that audiences can expect in the months to come – from iconic franchise storytelling to must-see dramas and new originals."

Among the major releases featured in the preview are several marquee titles. House of the Dragon Season 3 launches June 21, while the limited series Life, Larry and the Pursuit of Unhappiness debuts June 26. Comedy fans can look forward to Stuart Fails to Save the Universe arriving July 23.

The DC Studios drama Lanterns is set to premiere August 16, with Hard Knocks: Training Camp with the Seattle Seahawks following in August as well. Conan O'Brien Must Go returns for Season 3 later in 2026.

Perhaps most notably, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone will arrive as an HBO Original Series on December 25, marking a significant addition to the platform's holiday programming.

The teaser also previewed several titles arriving throughout the year without specified premiere dates, including The Gilded Age Season 4, Monsters of God, The Man Will Burn, War, and Youth.
