François Arnaud and Robbie GK Reunite at Warner Bros Discovery Upfronts, Cross Paths With Anderson Cooper

François Arnaud and Robbie GK brought their on-screen chemistry to the Warner Bros Discovery Upfronts on Wednesday, May 13, at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The Heated Rivalry co-stars took the stage to celebrate their show's breakout success and unexpected cultural footprint.

The pair discussed what initially drew audiences to the series. "When Heated Rivalry premiered, audiences showed up for the drama, for some steamy encounters, and then the enemies to lovers storyline that got them hooked," François explained. Robbie chimed in: "And honestly, it was a little crazier than we expected."

Beyond the on-screen narrative, the actors highlighted an unforeseen consequence of the show's popularity: a genuine surge in hockey interest among viewers. "By opening a window into the compelling lives of four people – three pro athletes," Robbie began, before François interjected with a quip, "And one exceptionally talented smoothie barista." Robbie responded with gratitude before François continued, "The show invited viewers to step into an exciting new sports world as well. They started picking teams, NHL ticket sales jumped, merchandise sales spiked, ratings rose and we realized that fandom doesn't stop at the screen."

The actors also reflected on the devoted fan support they've received both on and off the screen.

During a backstage encounter at the Upfronts, François and Robbie crossed paths with Anderson Cooper, who notably declared his allegiance to the character Kip during his New Year's Eve broadcast with Andy Cohen.

Season two of Heated Rivalry is slated to film this summer ahead of its 2027 debut on HBO Max in the US and other international territories.
