Gracie Abrams is giving fans their first taste of what's next. The 26-year-old artist has unveiled "Hit the Wall," the opening track from her forthcoming third album, Daughter from Hell.

Alongside the single release, Abrams dropped a music video helmed by director Renell Medrano. The visual takes a surrealist approach to exploring her inner landscape, featuring stripped-down imagery layered with shadow and symbolic elements. Among its standout moments is a sequence that evokes the iconic hallway scene from The Shining, complete with matching twins.

The song finds Abrams confronting the emotional walls she builds in relationships, examining how her avoidant attachment patterns affect her connections with others. Her team described the video as offering "a cryptic taste of what's to come" from the album.

Daughter from Hell arrives on July 17, marking Abrams' return to recording two years after her critically acclaimed sophomore effort, The Secret of Us. The project from the singer-songwriter—daughter of filmmaker JJ Abrams—represents her most recent body of work for listeners eager to hear her evolved sound and songwriting.
