Shania Twain Hosts ACM Awards in Striking Black Panther Gown

Shania Twain arrived at the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, May 17, ready to take the stage as host of the evening's festivities at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The 60-year-old music icon turned heads on the red carpet in a striking Falguni Shane Peacock gown adorned with a black panther design.

For Twain, stepping into the hosting role represents a significant professional milestone. "Hosting the ACMs is a very, very big deal for me," she shared with media outlets ahead of the ceremony. "I can check this bucket list item now because it just makes one feel quite accomplished."

The legendary performer is no stranger to the ACM Awards stage. She has claimed five wins throughout her career, beginning in 1996 when she took home Top New Female Vocalist and Album of the Year honors for her second album, The Woman In Me. Her accolades also include a Double-Diamond Award for The Woman In Me and Come On Over in 1999, the Entertainer of the Year award in 2000, and the Poet's Award in 2022.

Looking ahead to the evening's broadcast, Twain promised viewers a spectacular production. "This is the biggest gig of my life," she stated. "You can expect a lot of excitement, glamor. We're going to be very glamorous here in Las Vegas. You can expect that this is the ACMs Vegas style."

She also highlighted the expanded presence of female talent in this year's nominations. "There's going to be a lot of beauty because there's more women on the nominees list this year," Twain explained. "So that always brings up the fashion a little higher sometimes, I think. You can see a lot of really fabulous, high fashion."

When asked about her other aspirations, Twain revealed a more low-key passion. "Yeah, just spend more time with my horses," she said with a laugh. "That's what I really, really need to do. More time with horses."

Beyond the awards show, Twain has plenty on her horizon. She recently announced plans to serve as tour opener for Harry Styles' England dates, and she's preparing to release her new album Little Miss Twain later this summer.
