House of the Dragon Season 3, Episode 2 Reimagines Otto Hightower's Death From Source Material

The newest episode of House of the Dragon brought back a major character only to end his story in dramatic fashion—with a twist from the source material.

After Aegon II abandoned King's Landing, Rhaenyra's forces moved to reclaim the capital. During the operation, Otto Hightower was discovered imprisoned beneath the Red Keep. Rhaenyra, facing her longtime political adversary, ordered his execution.
