Hudson Williams Lands on AMC+ With Crave's 'Yaga' After Competitive Bidding

Hudson Williams is making his next move on AMC+.
The 25-year-old actor has landed a starring role in Crave's upcoming series Yaga, with the streaming platform securing exclusive U.S. rights to the project following competitive bidding. The announcement came Wednesday, April 29, marking Williams' first major role since the worldwide breakthrough of Heated Rivalry.
The eight-episode limited series brings together an ensemble cast that includes Carrie-Anne Moss from The Matrix, Noah Reid of Schitt's Creek, and Clark Backo, known for his work on Letterkenney.
Kat Sandler wrote and serves as showrunner for the project, which draws inspiration from her original play. The story explores "the myth of Baba Yaga, a female character from Slavic folklore traditionally portrayed as a witch."
Williams takes on the role of Henry Park, described as a young heir overseeing a major fishery operation. His character's disappearance sets off a chain of events that pulls in Rapp (Reid), a private investigator, who clashes with a hesitant local detective. The narrative expands to include Carson (Backo), a university professor with charisma and questionable taste in romantic pursuits; Katherine (Moss), a mysterious figure; and numerous other characters whose secrets and connections form a web of intrigue infused with supernatural elements.
"Yaga represents exactly the type of inventive, boundary-pushing content that AMC+ cultivates to strengthen our core offerings and deeply engage our devoted audiences," said Courtney Thomasma, Executive Vice President of Linear & Streaming Products for AMC Global Media. "Kat Sandler's distinctive artistic approach reinvents the classic mystery format—merging witchcraft, horror, and detective work into a compelling narrative centered on complex characters that audiences will find impossible to turn away from."
The series is slated to arrive on the platform in the coming months. In related news, Williams has also been cast in the forthcoming film Tyrant.
