Executive Producer Denies Reports That Dorit Kemsley Is Being Sidelined From 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'

An executive producer behind Real Housewives of Beverly Hills has pushed back against casting speculation surrounding longtime cast member Dorit Kemsley.

A blind item that circulated last week suggested that Kemsley, who has spent nine seasons on the Bravo series, would be placed on pause following Season 15. The report also indicated that Kyle Richards, Erika Jayne, Sutton Stracke, Bozoma Saint John, and Rachel Zoe would return as full-time cast members, while newcomer Amanda Frances would likely not continue.

In response to the rumor, executive producer Alex Baskin took to Instagram Stories on Friday, May 22, to set the record straight. "not true," he wrote, according to Us Weekly.

The speculation emerged shortly after the Season 15 finale and its three-part reunion special, which featured ongoing tension between Kemsley and Richards, among other dramatic moments.

Kemsley joined the franchise in Season 7 and has maintained full-time status throughout her tenure. She is currently navigating a contentious divorce from Paul "PK" Kemsley, which has drawn public attention in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, her ex-husband made allegations that she spent close to $1 million on high-end purchases while the family faced difficulties meeting their home's mortgage obligations. Kemsley acknowledged the spending but framed it as her personal choice with money she earned herself.

"When you're in litigation, you have to sort of follow the legal process," she told Extra. "I think there will be answers to everything. When you hear one version or one narrative, there's always another side."

She elaborated on her approach to luxury purchases, stating: "Do I love fashion? Yes. Do I spend a lot of money on clothes, expensive clothes, designer clothes? Yes. It is my choice. It is also my money. It's my money that I earn, that I work for. Not his money. However, once PK and I can finish and have an agreement, what I choose to spend my money on and what he chooses to spend his money on, it's our own choice."

While Bravo has not formally confirmed a renewal for Season 16, such an announcement appears probable. Several other Real Housewives franchises have recently received renewal orders.
