Jack Avery Breaks Silence Following Ex Gabbie Gonzalez's Arrest in Murder-for-Hire Investigation

Jack Avery has come forward with a statement in the wake of recent arrests connected to an alleged plot on his life.

The 26-year-old former Why Don't We member addressed the situation following the apprehension of Gabbie Gonzalez, a 24-year-old TikTok and Instagram influencer and mother of his child, along with her father. Both face charges related to conspiracy to commit a crime in connection with the alleged murder-for-hire scheme.

Gonzalez was detained last week in Northern California before being transferred to Los Angeles on May 18. Her father, Francisco, was arrested the same day in Florida in relation to the same allegations. Three individuals total have been taken into custody in the investigation.

In his statement, Avery reflected on the toll the situation has taken on his family. "For years, my family and I have endured intense public scrutiny, false accusations, and deeply painful attacks on our character and reputation," he wrote. "Throughout that time, I chose to remain silent out of respect for the legal process and, most importantly, for my daughter."

The singer prioritized his parental responsibilities moving forward. "Right now, my focus is on being the best father I can be. I'm thankful to have sole custody of my daughter, Lavender, who is safe, healthy, and deeply loved," Avery stated. "I look forward to continuing to build a peaceful and stable life for her."

Avery extended his appreciation to those who stood by him during the ordeal. "I also want to express my sincere gratitude to my family, friends, law enforcement, and the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office for their support throughout this process. And finally, to everyone who has supported me and withheld judgment while the truth unfolded, thank you."

According to the L.A. County Sheriff's Department, Gonzalez was involved in a custody dispute with Avery over their 7-year-old daughter, with her father becoming involved in the disagreement as well. Federal and local authorities have been investigating the case for an extended period.

Avery and Gonzalez began their relationship in 2018 and welcomed Lavender in 2019. The pair eventually ended their romantic relationship but maintained a co-parenting arrangement prior to these events.
