Jaafar Jackson and Nia Long Make Red Carpet Appearance at 2026 BET Awards

The cast of "Michael" made a striking appearance at the 2026 BET Awards on Sunday evening. Jaafar Jackson and Nia Long arrived at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where they stopped to pose for photographers on the red carpet.

Jackson, 29, selected a navy ensemble for the occasion, while Long, 55, opted for a silk brown dress. In the biographical film, Jackson takes on the role of his late uncle Michael Jackson, while Long portrays Katherine Jackson, the iconic entertainer's mother.

Comedian Druski is stepping in as host of the 2026 BET Awards for the first time. The ceremony celebrates what organizers describe as "multifaceted creative expression and Black excellence across music, television, film, and sports."

The live broadcast begins at 8pm ET on BET, with simultaneous feeds airing across BET HER, CMT, LOGO, MTV, MTV2, Nickelodeon (NAN), Paramount, POP, VH1, Comedy Central, and TV Land.
