Jamie-Lynn Sigler Details Financial Betrayal by Ex-Husband AJ Discala in New Memoir

Jamie-Lynn Sigler is shedding light on financial misconduct during her brief marriage to AJ Discala in a deeply personal new book.

The 44-year-old actress and her ex-husband, now 55, were married for just two years following their 2003 wedding. In her forthcoming memoir, "And So It Is…: A Memoir of Acceptance and Hope," Sigler describes the relationship as "toxic" and reveals troubling details about how Discala allegedly mishandled her earnings.

According to Sigler's account in the book, Discala systematically transferred portions of her The Sopranos salary to a separate account without her knowledge or access. The actress discovered this pattern during divorce proceedings, when she realized money was being moved each time she received payment from the show.

"I'm twenty-four years old. There is no amount of money worth more than getting this man out of my life. I'll make it back in some form one day. I need to move on," Sigler wrote, recounting her mindset at the time.

She ultimately never pursued the missing funds during the divorce settlement. "To this day, I don't know what happened with the money," she added in the memoir. "But I don't care anymore. That money is a chapter I want closed forever."

Years later, Sigler experienced what she describes as a meaningful moment of closure. In 2022, while away from her family, she found herself reflecting on forgiveness and her ex. The following morning, her agent called with an unexpected opportunity: a Sopranos-themed Super Bowl commercial for Chevrolet. Remarkably, the compensation matched the exact amount Discala had allegedly transferred from their joint account decades earlier.

Sigler also recalled her co-star James Gandolfini's reaction to her marriage. The acclaimed actor notably skipped the wedding, and when Sigler returned to set afterward, Gandolfini offered a single word of commentary: "Ooof." She interpreted his response as disapproval, writing in the book, "It was clear: none of them were happy about this for me. It would take me two long years to understand why."

Two decades after their separation, Discala faced serious legal consequences. He was convicted of orchestrating a $300 million stock scheme and sentenced to over 11 years in prison, with a scheduled release date of 2032.
