Jelly Roll Hospitalized With Sinus Infection One Week Before Bunnie Xo Divorce Announcement

Jelly Roll is speaking out about a health crisis that struck while he's been navigating major personal upheaval.

The "Son of a Sinner" artist, born Jason Bradley DeFord, filed for divorce from his wife Bunnie Xo last month following a decade of marriage. The split became public on Monday, June 15, but a week earlier, on June 11, the 41-year-old shared details of a medical emergency on TikTok.

While performing in Charlotte, North Carolina, as part of Post Malone's tour, Jelly Roll required hospitalization for a sinus infection. In the video, he recounted the experience: "I went to the hospital last night in Charlotte, North Carolina. Shout out to that whole hospital. They literally got me on my feet for the show."

The singer described arriving at the venue with visible swelling. "I was puffy-faced," he noted, explaining that medical staff administered steroids to help him recover enough to perform. The incident marked the first time since joining Post Malone's tour that Jelly Roll had to sit out any portion of a concert.

Post Malone, 30, learned of his tour mate's condition and responded with characteristic generosity. The following evening, Jelly Roll received a floral arrangement accompanied by a handwritten note: "Get well soon, Mofo! Love Ya."

The gesture moved Jelly Roll, who expressed his gratitude publicly. "I love you Post, when I say on stage every night that Post Malone is the nicest human in the world. I'm not making that up," he said. "[He's] the most normal dude in the world. Like I love you, Post."

Jelly Roll's hospitalization occurred just days before his marital separation with Bunnie Xo, 46, made headlines. Legal filings have since provided details about their split, including their official separation date and stated reasons for the dissolution.
