Jennie commanded attention on the Met Gala red carpet in a stunning blue ensemble at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday, May 4, in New York City.

The 30-year-old BLACKPINK member and solo artist behind "Like Jennie" wore a Chanel column dress styled by Sam Woolf. According to Vogue, the intricate gown demanded an extraordinary amount of labor, with artisans spending 540 hours crafting the piece. The dress showcased 15,000 embroidered elements and was paired with Chanel High Jewelry accessories featuring gold and white diamonds.

This marked Jennie's fourth appearance at the prestigious event since making her Met Gala debut in 2023. The 2026 gala held special significance for BLACKPINK, as it became the first time all four members walked the carpet together. Lisa incorporated 3D scanning technology for her arm design, while Rosé collaborated with stylist Law Roach on her look. The evening also featured Jisoo's Met Gala debut.

The annual gala celebrated the Met's Costume Art exhibition, which examines "the 'centrality of the dressed body'" through representations of the human form drawn from the institution's collection. This year's dress code centered on "Fashion is Art," with Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and former Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour serving as co-chairs for the star-studded affair.
