Jennifer Garner Honors Ben Affleck with Rare Family Photos for Father's Day

Jennifer Garner used Father's Day as an opportunity to celebrate her ex-husband Ben Affleck and his relationship with their children.

The Alias star posted intimate family photos on Instagram featuring Ben alongside their three kids: Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 14. The images were paired with a touching message about the importance of paternal figures in their lives.

"My sisters and I loved to spoil our dad; he never wanted for fresh baked cookies or a bowl of ice cream. I see the way my kids dote on their dad and I'm happy for them. To love and be loved by a great dad is a gift. Happy Father's Day to all of the dads and to the kids of dads, too," Garner wrote in her caption, which also included photos of her own father.

Garner and Affleck were married from 2005 until their separation, with divorce proceedings finalized in 2018. The two have maintained an amicable co-parenting relationship over the years.

The gesture comes after Garner recently opened up about her Mother's Day celebrations. She told Better Homes & Gardens about a special request she made of her children this year—to gather in their upstairs reading nook while she read aloud from beloved books from their childhood.

"They're like, 'Mom.' And I'm like, 'I know, but I think I need that. You have to let me,'" she shared with the publication.
