Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Raising Twins Emme and Max, Reflects on Limited Support

Jennifer Lopez is taking stock of her role as a parent as her twins prepare for their next major life milestone.

The 56-year-old star sat down with the SmartLess podcast this week to discuss her 18-year-old children, Emme and Max, who are heading to college. During the conversation with hosts Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, Lopez reflected on her journey as a mother with evident pride.

"It's crazy. And now I can really look at my life, appreciate it for what it is and what I've created for myself and be really happy," she said.

Lopez highlighted her children's academic accomplishments, noting that both gained admission to multiple universities and secured scholarships to attend their preferred institutions. "Both my kids got into all their colleges and they both got scholarships and they're going where they want to go," she shared.

When discussing the experience of raising Emme and Max, whom she shares with ex-husband Marc Anthony, Lopez appeared to reference the limited involvement from their father. "It's just … I was like, 'You did that s–t all by yourself.' That's great. Like, 'You had very little help,' you know?" she said.

The comments surface weeks after Emme's high school graduation ceremony, which Lopez attended alongside Samuel, the son of her ex-partner Ben Affleck. Marc Anthony was notably absent from the event.

Both children are now moving forward to the next chapter of their lives with their mother's full support.
