Jennifer Lopez Opens Up About Embracing Single Life Following Ben Affleck Split

Jennifer Lopez is reflecting on her romantic journey and expressing newfound contentment with her solo status.
The 56-year-old performer sat down with Jimmy Kimmel on Wednesday, May 27, to discuss her new film Office Romance. When the conversation turned to her relationship status, Lopez didn't hold back about her current mindset.
"Yes! I shoulda done it sooner!" she told Kimmel when asked if she was single. "I've been doing it all wrong. I've been doing it all wrong, trust me."
Describing her present life as "fantastic," Lopez made clear she has no interest in the spotlight-heavy dating world. When Kimmel jokingly suggested she could become the next Bachelorette, her response was swift. "Are you crazy?" she said. "I'm not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now."
The star elaborated on her contentment, noting she wouldn't participate in the ABC reality dating show. "I could never," she stated firmly. "I'm good. I'm good right now where I'm at."
Looking ahead, Lopez remained optimistic but unbothered about future romance. "I'll meet somebody somewhere one day if they're good enough," she shared during the interview.
Lopez filed for divorce from Ben Affleck in August 2024, ending their marriage. In recent developments, the former couple's $60,850,000 mansion—which they jointly purchased in 2023—has become the subject of their property settlement. According to reports from April, Affleck has signed over his portion of the property to Lopez as part of their divorce agreement, transferring his interest at no cost.
The luxury home was listed for sale just a year after the couple acquired it, and it remains on the market.
