Jeremy Clarkson Announces He's in Remission From Prostate Cancer

Jeremy Clarkson is sharing positive health news with his fans.

The 66-year-old former Top Gear presenter posted a video on social media over the weekend to discuss his medical journey. During the final episodes of Clarkson's Farm Season 5, he disclosed that he received a prostate cancer diagnosis in May of last year.

"Now, the more observant among you will have noticed that I'm not dead," Clarkson said in the video. "And I'm not just not dead, I'm perfectly fine. My eyebrows in particular are looking very lustrous."

He went on to explain the reason behind his positive outcome. "The reason why I'm fine is because the doctors caught the prostate cancer early, and they caught it early because I got tested."

Clarkson acknowledged the hesitation many men have about screening. "I know a lot of you will say, 'Well, I don't wanna be tested 'cause it means someone will have to put their finger in me.' But it's just a blood test these days," he noted.

He then offered candid advice to those who might be turned away by their doctors. "If you go to your doctor and he says, 'Well, I'm not gonna test you because you don't have any symptoms and you're not in a high risk category', just lie. Just lie. Say you have got symptoms. Say that you have to get up 32 times in the night for a wee, and that there's some dribbling."

Clarkson emphasized the stakes of the disease. "Because look, 10, 12,000 people, men to be honest, men die every year in the UK from prostate cancer. Don't be one of them. Get tested."
