John Travolta has stepped behind the camera for his feature directorial debut, bringing his own 1997 children's novel to the screen. Apple has unveiled the official trailer for the upcoming Apple Original Film "Propeller One-Way Night Coach."

The 72-year-old two-time Oscar nominee, who is also a Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner, wrote, directed, narrated, and produced the project himself.

The film follows Jeff, a young airplane enthusiast portrayed by newcomer Clark Shotwell, and his mother, played by Kelly Eviston-Quinnett, as they embark on a one-way cross-country journey to Hollywood. What begins as a straightforward flight becomes an unforgettable adventure filled with moments both wondrous and surprising.

The story unfolds across the course of the flight, featuring airline meals, gracious flight attendants—including a role for Travolta's daughter Ella Bleu—and a diverse cast of passengers. The narrative also includes a peek into the first-class experience, all of which shapes the trajectory of the young protagonist's future.

Ella Bleu Travolta, whom Travolta shares with his late wife Kelly Preston, takes on one of the flight attendant roles alongside actress Olga Hoffmann. The pair have previously collaborated on multiple projects, with an upcoming thriller titled "Black Tides" among their recent work together.

Positioned as a "film for all ages," the project will make its world premiere at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival on May 15, before rolling out globally on Apple TV on Friday, May 29, 2026.
