John Travolta and Daughter Ella Bleu Debut Film at Cannes, Making Rare Red Carpet Appearance Together

John Travolta brought his 26-year-old daughter Ella Bleu Travolta to the Cannes Film Festival on Friday for a special milestone: the world premiere of his directorial debut.
The 72-year-old actor helmed "Propeller One-Way Night Coach," which premiered at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France on May 15. Beyond directing, Travolta also penned the screenplay and takes on an acting role, portraying the older version of the story's protagonist.
Set during aviation's golden era, the film follows young airplane enthusiast Jeff (Clark Shotwell) and his mother (Kelly Eviston-Quinnett) as they embark on a one-way cross-country flight to Hollywood. What begins as a straightforward journey transforms into an unforgettable adventure, complete with airline service, gracious flight attendants—including Ella Bleu Travolta and Olga Hoffmann—surprising layovers, memorable fellow travelers, and an exclusive peek at first class. The narrative weaves together moments of wonder and serendipity as it shapes the boy's destiny.
The entire ensemble cast walked the red carpet for the festival premiere.
The film will debut on Apple TV beginning Friday, May 29—just two weeks after its Cannes unveiling.
Ella is the daughter of John and his late wife, Kelly Preston, who died at age 57 in 2020, two years following her breast cancer diagnosis.
