Karol G Stuns in Cut-Out Dress at AMAs 2026, Set to Receive International Artist Award

Karol G commanded attention at the 2026 American Music Awards on Monday evening, arriving at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas in a striking cut-out dress. The 35-year-old Colombian singer-songwriter is among the night's honorees, set to receive the International Artist Award of Excellence—a distinction that hasn't been bestowed since 2009.
The award recognizes artists whose cultural reach transcends borders and is only presented to those deemed worthy of acknowledgment for their significant contributions to music. Past recipients represent some of the industry's most legendary names: Michael Jackson received the honor in 1993, followed by Rod Stewart in 1994, Led Zeppelin in 1995, the Bee Gees in 1997, Aerosmith in 2001, Beyoncé in 2007, and Whitney Houston in 2009.
In addition to the special recognition, Karol G is in contention for three competitive awards. She's nominated for Best Female Latin Artist, Best Latin Song for "Latina Foreva," and Best Latin Album for Tropicoqueta.
The red-carpet appearance precedes the rollout of her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour, which launches in July with its opening show in Chicago.
Queen Latifah is hosting the ceremony, marking her return to the hosting duties after more than three decades. Taylor Swift leads the night's nominations with eight nods across various categories. The AMAs air tonight at 8/7c on CBS.
