Kate Hudson and Ana de Armas Join Forces for Erotic Thriller 'Palm Grove'

Kate Hudson and Ana de Armas are joining forces for a new film project.

The two Oscar-nominated actresses will headline the erotic thriller Palm Grove, which is being produced by Chernin Entertainment—the company behind the recent horror hit Backrooms.

The story unfolds in Miami's most exclusive neighborhood, where a seemingly perfect wife discovers her husband's secret life, setting off a seductive battle of wills that transforms her sense of betrayal into an intoxicating game.

Hungarian filmmaker Kornél Mundruczó is directing the project. Mundruczó made his English-language debut in 2020 with Pieces of a Woman, which earned Vanessa Kirby an Oscar nomination. The screenplay comes from James Morosini, who wrote and directed the 2022 film I Love My Dad.

Both leads bring significant accolades to the project. Hudson earned Oscar nominations for her roles in Almost Famous (2001) and Song Sung Blue (2026). De Armas received a nomination for her performance in Blonde (2023).

On the career front, Hudson recently saw the second season of her Netflix comedy series Running Point debut on the platform, with all episodes now available to stream. De Armas' most recent film appearance was in Ballerina.
