Kelly Dodd Speaks Out on Revenge Porn Allegations Following Court Filing Details

Kelly Dodd is addressing serious legal allegations that have recently come to light. The 50-year-old former Real Housewives of Orange County cast member is facing two misdemeanor charges connected to an alleged revenge porn case, with a Superior Court filing in Orange County made public on Wednesday, May 27.

According to legal documents, Dodd is accused of distributing sexually explicit footage without consent around August 29, 2025. The allegations claim she "unlawfully and intentionally" shared the material involving a Jane Doe and caused "severe emotional distress." Court filings indicate the footage was allegedly recorded without the person's consent in circumstances where privacy was reasonably expected. Both parties had purportedly agreed to keep the images confidential.

Additional allegations against Dodd include threatening to harm the woman, her property, and her family. She is also facing a separate misdemeanor battery charge tied to a different Jane Doe stemming from an alleged incident in June 2025.

During Thursday's episode of The Rick and Kelly Show, her YouTube series co-hosted with husband Rick Leventhal, Dodd broke her silence on the matter. She explained that she first learned of the story when reporters reached out to her.

"I was like, 'What the actual f— is going on here?'" Dodd said on the show.

Leventhal added context about the legal situation, stating that while they cannot discuss much at present due to pending court proceedings, they can confirm that Dodd will be appearing in court and that "TMZ got most of the facts wrong, like, completely wrong."

Dodd noted that she has a court appearance scheduled for the following day at 2:30 at Harbor. She indicated that a fuller explanation will come on an upcoming episode of the show available on Patreon, and suggested that someone within her family may be behind the allegations becoming public.

"I know it's somebody in my family that is putting this stuff out there. Driving this. And you know who it is," Dodd said.

The Real Housewives of Orange County is set to return for its 20th season this summer.
