Keltie Knight Opens Up About Her 2023 Facelift and the Unexpected Complications

Keltie Knight is speaking candidly about undergoing a facelift in 2023. The 44-year-old television host, known for her work on Live from E!, detailed the journey leading to her cosmetic procedure in a personal essay for Glamour.

Before committing to a full facelift, Knight explored other options. At age 35, she underwent a minimally invasive necklift after her plastic surgeon advised she was too young for a facelift at that time. The procedure was expected to provide results lasting approximately five years, after which a facelift would become an appropriate next step.

When Knight finally proceeded with the facelift, the surgery presented unexpected challenges. What was originally scheduled to last three to four hours extended to nearly nine hours. Dr. Jason Diamond discovered substantial scar tissue accumulated from her previous cosmetic treatments—including filler injections, thread lifts, and microneedling procedures—which complicated the surgical process.

The timing of her facelift coincided with a significant health matter. Knight underwent a hysterectomy in early 2024 after being diagnosed with microcytic anemia, a blood disorder affecting her uterus. She reflected on prioritizing her appearance over her medical needs, writing about her internal conflict regarding the decision.

Despite her reservations, Knight described the facelift as "the best thing I ever did," though the procedure came with a substantial price tag. She initially harbored shame about the surgery and hadn't planned to publicly discuss it.

The revelation came unexpectedly at Rachel Zoe's birthday celebration, which was being filmed for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. When Dorit Kemsley complimented her appearance, saying she was "aging backward," Knight spontaneously disclosed her cosmetic procedure. Though she wasn't wearing a microphone at the time, producers took interest in the exchange, and Knight ultimately agreed to allow it to air.

"I thought, 'You know what? Just own it,'" Knight recalled. She emphasized her desire to eliminate stigma surrounding cosmetic procedures, noting that openly discussing her facelift at age 41 could be empowering rather than something to conceal.
