Kevin Bacon Recounts Bee Attack During Hike with Daughter Sosie and Her Partner

Kevin Bacon had quite the outdoor adventure to share with his followers this week. The 67-year-old actor took to Instagram on Thursday to describe an unexpected encounter with a swarm of bees during a recent hike.

Bacon was out on the trail with his daughter Sosie Bacon and her partner Scoot McNairy when things took a turn. According to Bacon's account, the trio was hiking in formation—Scoot leading the way, Sosie in the middle, and Bacon bringing up the rear—when McNairy spotted a beehive nearby. Sosie quickly alerted her father to the potential danger.

What happened next was anything but ordinary. While the other two hikers escaped unscathed, Bacon found himself the sole target of the insects' aggression. "These bees, they must not have liked my work or something because they left the two of them alone, and they went full on after me," Bacon quipped in the video, adding that the bees stung him in multiple places, including under his shirt.

Since no footage captured the actual event, Sosie later obliged her father's request to recreate the scene for his Instagram post. The reenactment featured dramatic swatting motions and an exaggerated portrayal of Bacon's frantic reaction to the stings. "There's bees in there," Sosie says in the clip as she acts out the chaotic moment with theatrical flair.

Bacon captioned the post "The bees attack KB by [Sosie Bacon]," turning the painful incident into shareable entertainment. His wife, actress Kyra Sedgwick, chimed in with enthusiastic praise for Sosie's performance, while Sosie herself commented that her reenactment was exactly as it had unfolded.

The family has another project on the horizon: Bacon and Sedgwick are set to direct and star alongside their children Sosie and Travis in an upcoming horror comedy.
