Kiefer Sutherland has pulled the plug on the U.S. portion of his touring plans.

The 59-year-old performer, who has been actively touring Europe and the UK as part of his Love Will Bring You Home Tour, announced Friday that he would be scrapping his scheduled American dates. The decision came down to ticket demand falling short of expectations.

"With great disappointment I am going to have to cancel the US leg of my tour due to very low ticket sales," Sutherland shared via Instagram. "I don't think it's fair to the people who have bought tickets, or the venues, to play to half empty houses."

He emphasized his commitment to returning to the American market when circumstances prove more favorable. "I look forward to touring the United States again at a more suitable time. I hope you understand," the statement continued.

Ticketholders who have already made purchases will receive refunds through their original point of sale.

The cancellation places Sutherland among several artists who have recently shelved tour plans. Meghan Trainor, Zayn Malik, and Post Malone have similarly canceled shows in recent weeks, though each cited distinct circumstances for their respective decisions.

Sutherland's remaining European and UK tour dates remain active as scheduled. Additional information about those performances is available through KieferSutherlandBand.com.
