Kim Petras Says Her Website Chatroom Was Hacked Following Nicki Minaj Comments

Kim Petras is pushing back against controversy surrounding her newly-launched website chatroom, asserting that the platform was compromised by an unauthorized user.
The 33-year-old Grammy-winning artist, known for the hit "Unholy," recently introduced an interactive chat feature on her website to connect with fans ahead of her upcoming album Detour. However, a message appeared in the chatroom that seemed to take aim at Nicki Minaj, with the post reading: "detour coming to outstream alone. we need to remove the song with that beast of a lady from my [discography] what y'all think."
The two artists previously worked together on the track "Alone" from Kim's Feed the Beast album. The post sparked speculation among fans, particularly given Nicki's past public statements regarding transgender children—Kim herself is transgender.
A representative for Kim addressed the situation with a statement clarifying that the message did not come from the artist herself. "Kim Petras launched a new chat feature on her website yesterday where her name was meant to be user-protected, however earlier today someone other than Kim was able to use the name and type things without her knowledge or approval," the rep explained. "Kim has been in Miami working today, and has not yet had the opportunity to log in and personally engage with fans on the website. The chat feature has since been disabled and removed from the website until the issue gets resolved."
The incident comes weeks after a man was taken into custody for trespassing at Nicki's residence in early April.
