Kim Zolciak Loses Primary Custody of Four Youngest Children to Kroy Biermann

A judge has granted primary custody of Kim Zolciak's four youngest children to her estranged husband, Kroy Biermann, following his emergency motion in their ongoing divorce proceedings.
The 40-year-old former NFL player now has primary custody of Kroy Jr. (14), Kash (13), and twins Kaia and Kane (both 12). The ruling was handed down on May 1.
Zolciak, 47, responded to the decision through a statement, emphasizing that the arrangement is not permanent. "The judge's decision is temporary until our return court date on May 21st when we will have the opportunity for a full hearing," she said. "While I want this process to be over for my children more than anything, I am looking forward to our court date on May 21st when we will finally be provided with an opportunity to present the truth."
Under the new custody arrangement, the former Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member will have limited visitation—every other weekend. The former spouses maintain joint legal custody, though Biermann holds final decision-making power over educational, non-emergency medical, and religious matters.
This latest ruling follows a previous custody limitation imposed on Zolciak last month, which was later reinstated after she agreed to complete court-ordered therapy.
Biermann filed the motion last week, alleging that Zolciak neglected their children and prioritized her career and public image over their welfare. He contended that all four children should reside together and described Zolciak as "unstable and unfit."
Beyond her four children with Biermann, Zolciak is also mother to adult daughters Brielle (29) and Ariana (24). Biermann legally adopted both daughters following his 2011 marriage to Zolciak.
