Kimora Lee Simmons and Tim Leissner End Marriage After Years Apart

April 20, 2026

Fashion entrepreneur Kimora Lee Simmons is ending her marriage to Tim Leissner, a former investment banker at Goldman Sachs. Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that Leissner filed for divorce in February following 12 years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.

While no official separation date appears in the filing, the pair has been estranged since March 2022, according to reports. Sources indicate the couple has been navigating this situation for approximately six years.

Leissner is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their shared child, Wolfe Lee Leissner, 11, along with spousal support. Simmons has a blended family that includes her daughters Ming, 25, and Aoki, 23, from her marriage to Russell Simmons, as well as a son Kenzo, 16, with actor Djimon Hounsou. She has also been raising her bonus son Jaden, 19, since childhood and adopted son Gary, 16, in 2020.

The pair exchanged vows in March 2014. Leissner has previously acknowledged forging divorce documents to marry Simmons while still legally married to his former wife, Judy Chan.

On the professional front, Simmons recently appeared in a campaign spotlighting the Old Navy and Christopher John Rogers collaboration.
