Brandon Barash Obtains Emergency Restraining Order Against Ex-Wife Kirsten Storms

April 27, 2026

Brandon Barash has secured an emergency restraining order against his ex-wife Kirsten Storms, with court documents alleging that she is experiencing a mental health crisis and raising concerns about their shared child's safety.

The former General Hospital co-stars met on set, married in 2013, and welcomed a daughter the following year before divorcing in 2016. Barash remarried in 2025 and relocated to Nashville, where Storms also moved to support their daughter's transition. The actress stepped back from her soap opera role during the relocation and while managing certain health matters.

In the filed documents, Barash detailed a pattern of housing instability, noting that Storms faced eviction proceedings and lacked permanent housing between September 2024 and June 2025. He stated that she frequently switched between hotel rooms, believing that individuals were tracking her and their child to her accommodations.

The court filings also reference a $5,000 loan Barash provided to Storms for vehicle repairs, which remains unpaid.

According to the documents, Storms contacted Barash in May 2025 expressing that she was "experiencing delusions and hallucinations" and felt she should not have custody during her scheduled parenting time. She subsequently underwent psychiatric hospitalization and was placed on a psychiatric hold, though Barash claims she appeared to dismiss the incident after her release.

Barash is seeking a comprehensive mental health evaluation for Storms. Currently, she has been granted supervised visitation with their daughter while the restraining order awaits judicial review this week.

Storms has since returned to General Hospital following a six-month absence from the program.
