Kylie Jenner Faces Lawsuit From Former Private Chef Over Workplace Conditions During Pregnancy

Kylie Jenner is dealing with fresh legal trouble stemming from workplace allegations. A private chef has filed suit in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that demanding job responsibilities while she was pregnant resulted in a miscarriage.
The chef began her role in the 28-year-old entrepreneur's household in November 2024. She notified her supervisors at the three-month mark of her pregnancy that she would need specific workplace accommodations due to the high-risk nature of her condition.
The situation escalated in December 2024 when the chef was directed to transport heavy food items across the street and uphill. She alleges that the physical exertion triggered a medical crisis—gasping for air and requiring security assistance. Following the incident, she says she faced reprimand for the disruption to Kylie's activities.
On February 1, 2025, the chef worked a birthday celebration for one of Kylie's children. According to the filing, supervisors did not provide adequate support when she requested help. The exhaustion and physical demands proved overwhelming, and she experienced an emotional breakdown in a bathroom at the event. That night, she felt extreme fatigue and bodily strain from the prolonged, taxing work.
The next morning, hemorrhaging prompted her to drive herself to an emergency room, where doctors confirmed she had lost her pregnancy. Upon informing her supervisors, she claims they responded by accusing her of leaving the kitchen and refrigerator in poor condition following a Palm Springs event.
A week later on February 8, the chef was hospitalized again due to hemorrhaging. She subsequently agreed to relocate to New York. Her employer later characterized her communication about her medical needs and move as a voluntary resignation, despite her desire to continue working, according to the suit.
On March 14, 2025, she was notified of her removal from the Kylie Jenner household position, with her final day set for March 31. The chef also named management company Tri Star as a defendant, leveling allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, pregnancy-related mistreatment, failure to provide accommodations, and wage violations. In May 2025, the employer allegedly sent settlement and release documents.
The chef is seeking compensation for severe emotional distress, anxiety, depression, humiliation, and mental anguish, along with damages including back pay, front pay, lost wages, and lost employment benefits.
This marks another workplace-related legal action against the reality television personality. Earlier in 2025, a former housekeeper filed her own suit against Jenner, alleging discrimination based on religion and national origin.
