Netflix Greenlights Three-Part Kylie Minogue Documentary Series
Netflix is diving into the life and legacy of one of pop music's most iconic figures with a new documentary series centered on Kylie Minogue.
The streaming platform announced the project on Wednesday, April 22, revealing that the three-part series, titled KYLIE, will explore the career and personal journey of the "Can't Get You Out of My Head" superstar.
Emmy and BAFTA-winning director Michael Harte will helm the series, with production handled by VENTURELAND—the company behind acclaimed documentaries WHAM! and BECKHAM. John Battsek leads the production company.
The documentary will draw from Minogue's personal archives, incorporating home video footage, photographs, and new interviews with the artist herself. According to Netflix's description, the project examines "one of music's most enduring icons who has consistently reshaped pop and sold over 80 million records along the way." The series will chronicle both her public triumphs and the challenges she has navigated, including public scrutiny, personal loss, and health battles.
The three episodes will feature appearances from Minogue's sister Dannii Minogue, actor and performer Jason Donovan, musician Nick Cave, and music producer Pete Waterman.
Netflix describes the series as a celebration of "the joy, connection and euphoria that makes Kylie unmistakably Kylie."
While an official premiere date has not been confirmed, Netflix released a first look image from the project. The exact timing of the release remains to be announced.
