LaVar Ball and Tina Slatinsky End Marriage After Nearly 30 Years

LaVar Ball has announced the end of his marriage to Tina Slatinsky, marking a separation after close to 30 years together.

The 57-year-old Big Baller Brand CEO and former athlete shared the news during an appearance on N3on's livestream Wednesday, June 24. Ball explained that his wife made the decision to pursue a different path, stating that Tina "decided to go her own way. That's why you don't see her right here."

In his remarks, Ball reflected on their relationship and acknowledged the health challenges Tina has faced. "She wanted to go do something else, that's fine with me. We had our run. We had our run. So, even though she had the stroke, and getting older, she would never be like, 'Oh, man.' She was always beautiful in my eyes, until you say I want to go do something else," he said, referencing her 2017 stroke that resulted in aphasia.

Ball continued with a measured perspective on their split. "The fact that if you decide to go this way, I'm gonna go that way. That's fine. It is what it is, man. Any time you can find somebody you can stay in love with for a really long time… if you can witness that love, that's good. I had that with her."

The athlete also disclosed that he is currently dating someone else, though he declined to elaborate when the streamer pressed him for additional details. "And I found somebody else, but it is what it is," Ball said.

Ball and Slatinsky exchanged vows in 1997 and share three children: Lonzo, 28, LiAngelo, 27, and LaMelo, 24.
