LeAnn Rimes is setting the record straight about her potential involvement with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

On Wednesday (May 6), word surfaced that the 43-year-old performer and 9-1-1: Nashville star was in discussions to join the Bravo series for its 16th season. The speculation quickly caught the attention of podcast hosts Rachel Lindsay and Chelsea Stark-Jones, who discussed the possibility on their show Morally Corrupt Bravo Show.

"The rumor is Leann Rimes' name is being floated around to Beverly Hills," Rachel began the conversation. "To that I'll say, as a fellow Dallas girl, I'll take it! Sign her up!"

Chelsea added that LeAnn appears "open to sharing" her life publicly, pointing to her recent decision to post a video of an intense deep jaw release procedure.

Rachel joked about wanting "a new album while we're at it" and referenced LeAnn's memorable rendition of "Can't Fight the Moonlight" from the 2000 film Coyote Ugly.

When the podcast clip circulated on Instagram, LeAnn responded directly in the comments, putting any RHOBH speculation to rest. "omg, dying! SCHOOL QUEEN ?? no, no…. no housewives for me," she wrote. "Playing dixie on 911 Nashville is drama enough for me."

The clarification comes as previous reports indicated that LeAnn had declined the opportunity to join RHOBH across five consecutive years when offered the role.
