Katy Perry and Chief Keef Unite on Remix, Ending Social Media Clash

Katy Perry and Chief Keef have moved past their social media dispute by joining forces on new music.
The pop icon and the Chicago rapper released a remix of Perry's 2013 track "Legendary Lovers" on Friday, May 29, marking a significant shift from their earlier tension online.
The conflict began when Perry commented negatively on Chief Keef's song "I Hate Being Sober," expressing concern about societal attitudes toward intoxication. Chief Keef fired back with inflammatory remarks, prompting Perry to issue an apology and clarification via social media.
"Mr. Keef! I'm sorry if I offended you," Perry wrote at the time. "I heard a lot of people guesting on the song & didn't even know it was you in particular. Actually…I'm a fan of your 'Don't Like' video tbh. I was really just having a general opinion on our generations desire to be constantly intoxicated. Believe me, I'm a lover not a hater. x."
The collaboration comes after Chief Keef sampled "Legendary Lovers" for his 2014 track "Save Me," which served as the foundation for this new version. The remix features Chief Keef delivering new verses over the original production.
The project demonstrates how two artists can transform a public disagreement into a creative partnership.
