Lena Dunham Playfully Addresses Backlash Over Her Taylor Swift Wedding Toast Joke

Lena Dunham is leaning into the buzz around her wedding toast at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's pre-wedding celebration.
The 40-year-old Girls creator reportedly delivered a cheeky remark during Thursday's rehearsal dinner on July 2, quipping that "American football is just straight guys reenacting gay porn" in front of assembled guests.
Days later, on Monday July 7, Dunham posted an Instagram carousel with snapshots from the event. The carousel featured images of her alongside friends, her husband Luis Felber, her production company Good Thing Going co-founder Michael P. Cohen, and celebrities including Andrew Scott and Zadie Smith.
Her caption took a playful jab at the swirling conversation: "Available going forward for weddings, bar and bat mitzvahs, and sweet sixteens (gay ones). I love both my husbands and I love love."
According to initial reports, her supposed joke drew "gasps and laughs" from the crowd, which included numerous NFL players and personalities.
The wedding toast comment has generated considerable online discussion since details emerged about the rehearsal dinner remarks.
