Joe Bird and Stacy Clausen Celebrate Acclaimed Horror Film 'Leviticus' at L.A. Screening

The queer horror film 'Leviticus' is generating significant momentum as it prepares for its theatrical debut this weekend. Emerging talents Joe Bird and Stacy Clausen made an appearance at a screening and audience discussion held Monday evening (June 15) at the Harmony Gold Preview House in Los Angeles.

Clausen turned heads in an oversized Stella McCartney blazer paired with coordinating shorts and David Yurman jewelry, while Bird opted for an all-white ensemble.

The film centers on two teenage boys who must survive a malevolent force that manifests as the person each of them wants most—one another. Mia Wasikowska rounds out the cast. The picture lands in cinemas June 19 and has already generated significant critical praise, currently sitting at a 94% score on Rotten Tomatoes. Neon picked up distribution rights to the film during the Sundance Film Festival earlier in 2026.

In conversation with Man About Town, Clausen reflected on the film's mounting acclaim heading into release. "It's pretty wild, a mixture of a lot of different things to be honest," he shared. "The cast and crew put so much into this movie, and for a while now it only existed with us, but soon it'll belong to audiences, which is a kind of a strange but super, super exciting transition. The response from the few festivals Leviticus has screened at has been so great, but that's such a small sample size, so with the full release, I think I'm just hoping people continue to connect with it. I'm looking forward to a wider audience getting the chance to experience it. It's really a film that tends to spark conversation, and I can't wait to hear them."
