Noah Kahan Surprises Fans With Deluxe Version of 'The Great Divide'

April 25, 2026

Noah Kahan is delivering an unexpected gift to his fanbase. The 29-year-old singer-songwriter released The Last of the Bugs, a deluxe expansion of his latest project, mere hours after unveiling his album The Great Divide over the weekend.

The expanded edition brings four additional tracks to the record. Leading the pack is "Lighthouse," a song Kahan had previewed for fans back in September 2024 when he shared a video performing the track with an acoustic guitar on Instagram. He continued building anticipation a month later by posting studio footage to his social media Stories.

The deluxe version also includes "Staying Still," a track that had been in high demand among listeners and draws inspiration from Boston.

In a statement about the album's creation, Kahan reflected on the emotional journey of making the record. "It is hard to even begin to describe what these last few years making this album has felt like. The collision of fear and pressure and joy and luck and total love has left me wordless," he shared. "I spent many months walking forward in complete darkness, hands out in front of me, desperate to touch something familiar that would show me I was near the light switch again."

He went on to credit the people who supported him through the process. "I was never really alone. I was guided through the wilderness by calm voices, by the stillness of my home state, by the total commitment of my band, producers, and team, by the steady and loving touch of my wife and family, and of course, by the constant and enduring encouragement of my fans. I am very proud of what we are doing together, and I hope we can live this dream for a long long time."
