Lil Wayne Apologizes After Last-Minute Concert Cancellation in Maine

Lil Wayne has issued an apology after unexpectedly pulling out of a concert performance in Bangor, Maine.
The 43-year-old rapper was set to headline a show on Tuesday, June 30, as part of his 20 Year of Carter Classics Tour. Despite 2 Chainz completing his opening set and with Lil Wayne slated to take the stage at 10:45pm, the artist never materialized. At 11:00pm, concertgoers learned that the performance would not be happening and were instructed to leave the venue.
The venue's president remarked to the audience that this marked an unprecedented occurrence in the facility's history, particularly striking given the venue's track record of hosting 251 shows without such an incident.
The following day, Lil Wayne turned to Instagram Stories to address the situation. "My Maine fans I'm so sorry … The show is being rescheduled to July 28. Please hold on to your tickets, they will be honored for the rescheduled date. I ain't sh-t without you I can't wait to come back and give you the show you deserve," he posted.
The Bangor date was intended to launch Lil Wayne back into touring following his Summer 2025 run for The Carter VI Tour. The artist is scheduled to maintain a touring schedule through the end of October, with performances lined up across various U.S. cities.
