Netflix's 'Little House on the Prairie' Reboot Reveals Supporting Cast in Fresh Teaser

Netflix is giving fans their first look at the wider world of the upcoming Little House on the Prairie series through a newly released teaser trailer.
The streaming giant unveiled the footage on Monday, May 11, showcasing the supporting ensemble in the fresh adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder's beloved literary works. The teaser offers glimpses of various townspeople in Independence and demonstrates how they welcome the Ingalls family to their new home.
The adaptation features Alice Halsey in the lead role of Laura Ingalls, with Skywalker Hughes portraying her sister Mary. Luke Bracey takes on the role of Charles "Pa" Ingalls, while Crosby Fitzgerald plays Caroline "Ma" Ingalls.
In the teaser, Halsey's character reflects on the town's name, with Laura musing in voiceover: "Independence is a funny name for a town like this. Independence isn't just a way of life. It's a place to come together."
The series blends elements of family drama, frontier survival narrative, and historical origin story. According to the official description, the reimagining draws from Wilder's semi-autobiographical novels to present "a kaleidoscopic view of the struggles and triumphs of those who shaped the frontier."
The premiere is set for July 9 on Netflix. The show has already secured a second season renewal ahead of its debut.
