Livvy Dunne is reflecting on her early days auditioning in Hollywood, opening up about her foray into acting during an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday, May 13.

The 23-year-old former gymnast shared details about her inaugural audition experience, which came with considerable nerves. She explained that stepping into an audition room felt fundamentally different from her background in gymnastics, where performances happen on apparatus rather than through dialogue and character work.

"My first audition ever was in person, and I was definitely nervous," Dunne recalled. "With gymnastics, you just perform on a 4-inch beam. Acting requires you to talk, perform, and become someone else entirely. It was a completely different experience."

That initial audition was for The White Lotus, a high-profile series she ultimately didn't land. The rejection, however, didn't derail her pursuit of acting roles.

Dunne later auditioned for the Baywatch reboot by submitting a self-tape, approaching the opportunity without high expectations. The strategy paid off when she received her first-ever callback—a significant milestone in her nascent acting career. She went on to book the part.

The former gymnast was spotted on the Baywatch set in mid-April, demonstrating her athletic prowess during beach scenes. She's set to play Grace, described as an enthusiastic junior lifeguard, in a recurring capacity on the series.

The Baywatch revival is slated to premiere in 2027.
